Neil Gracie is a talented and versatile jazz pianist formerly living in Brisbane, QLD, now residing in regional NSW in Temora. Born into a musical family, Neil was raised on classical piano under the guidance of his father, a piano teacher and professional piano restorer. His early training led him to follow in his fathers footsteps and achieve his A.Mus.A in Performance at the Adelaide Conservatorium of Music, where his passion for jazz truly began to flourish, and his taste for piano restoration started.
Neil’s career as a professional musician has seen him perform at top venues like the Brisbane Hilton, Stamford Plaza, as well as headlining multiple Jazz Festivals, including the Brisbane International Jazz Festival, Halls Gap Jazz Festival, Manly Jazz Festival and Wangaratta Jazz Festival. With experience perform a wide range of events, Neil enjoys all event types, from elegant weddings to intimate cocktail parties and lively gatherings. His ability to set the perfect mood, whether as background ambiance or the centerpiece of the event, has made him a sought-after musician.
With a repertoire that spans genres, Neil brings a friendly, laid-back style to every performance, ensuring that guests are not just entertained, but truly engaged.
Neil also holds a
Diploma of Teaching
and a
Doctor of Education, and is focusing on bringing his unique sound to venues where quality background music is needed to enhance the atmosphere of cocktail parties, weddings, high-end functions, restaurants, and piano bars.
His expertise extends beyond performance into the intricate art of

and restoration, a craft he has honed for over 30 years. Growing up in the Adelaide Hills, Neil learned the traditional foundations of piano tuning from his father, a skilled and respected restorer who instilled in him a deep respect for precision, artistry and integrity.
This early mentorship laid the groundwork for Neil’s dual career as both a Musician, University Lecturer and a Piano Technician. Today, Neil combines his vast technical knowledge with his musical sensitivity to deliver expert piano tuning services in Temora, NSW, and surrounding areas in the Riverina.
His decades of experience ensure every piano he works on sounds its absolute best, whether it’s for a professional performance or a cherished family heirloom.
